The 1935 Washington Quarter is a 25-cent coin that was issued by the United States Mint. The Washington Quarter was first minted in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth. It was intended to be a one-year commemorative coin, but its popularity led to it being minted for many years after 1935. The 1935 Washington Quarter is made of 90% silver and 10% copper, and it is considered to be a collectible coin by many numismatists. The coin’s obverse (Head) features George Washington along with the inscription 1935 – LIBERTY – IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse (tail) features a bald eagle, and two olive branches along with the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  – E PLURIBUS UNO – QUARTER DOLLAR.

  • 1935 Quarter without a mint mark, was struck at the Philadelphia mint with a total quantity of 32,484,000.
  • 1935 D Quarter, was struck at the Denver mint with a total quantity of 5,780,000.
  • 1935 S Quarter, was struck at the San Francisco mint with a total quantity of 5,660,000.
