The 2016 Theodore Roosevelt quarter was issued as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters program. The coin’s obverse (Head) features Washington’s side and the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  – LIBERTY – IN GOD WE TRUST- QUARTER DOLLAR. On the reverse (tail), Theodore Roosevelt is shown riding a horse and looking out over the Little Missouri River is featured. The reverse features the inscription Theodore Roosevelt – North Dakota  – 2016 – E PLURIBUS UNO. Louisiana is the home of Kisatchie National Forest. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is surrounded by this river.
